I found the Wanda and Vision Twopack! Glorious day I actually found something in the wild!

RIP Toys R Us. 😦 Dunno what’s going to happen with the TRU exclusives now so I snapped them up. My store had 4 packs and boy am I glad I went to choose them in person rather than order one. 

I know most people are buying this for Vision (or they don’t have a Wanda figure) but he really creeped me out in Civil War so I lost interest in his character. I’m not opening him for now because I might decide to sell his figure but I’m going to think about it because his character might redeem himself. It is a nice looking figure! So maybe I will keep him. 

Of the four I found I picked the nicest Wanda (I look at faces). Of the other three one was permanently set to look sideways because her face print was slightly off and had an extra red dot under her mouth, one had the lips printed so the red was only on the top and bottom of the lip so she looked like she had lipliner on and no lipstick and the last (which has two pictures) had both the strange lip print and she had what looked like a shiny patch of glue on her forehead. 

The Wanda I picked was not perfect. She has a slight divot in her nose, a faint mark on her cheek and what looks like some glue patches just covered by her hair on the right side of her face but overall it was the best I could find. 

The skin on her chest and fingers did not have the cleanest paint. I realised on the older figure her upper torso is skin coloured plastic with the top of the corset painted on and on the newer figure they did the reverse so they had to deal with painting around her necklace as opposed to painting the necklace on skin coloured plastic. 

Wanda coat is sliggghhttly more matte than the previous figure (which I have no idea what to do with now) and has better effects instead of the generic fireballs from before. They’re an extremely soft rubber (?) that makes it very easy to put on the figure but I fear accidentally ripping or squishing them too much. I like the paler skin but I’m not digging the paler hair. I feel like the hair colour from the previous figure was more in line with the actress’s. I’m tempted to do a hair swap.

I think Hasbro is doing well with their face print tech but it still has a few bugs so I’m going to be a bit careful of what I order online vs what I buy in person.
